2nd National Mission Congress National MIssion Forum Here’s the rundown of the first day of the National MIssion Forum, second part of the 2nd National Mission Congress. During the forum, we were given a tour of the history of the first phase of the evangelization of the Philippines during the Spanish era by noted historian Dr. Danilo Gerona. It was followed by testimonies from two Filipino missionaries currently on mission in the Asia-Pacific region. After the testimonies, there’s a lively discussion and in-depth analysis on the life of Filipino missionaries and current situations in the world by: 1. Fr. Rocco Viviano, SX, a missionary priest belonging to the Society of Saint Francis Xavier for the Missions (Xaverian Missionaries). 2. Sr. Judette Gallares, R.C., from the Philippines, is a member of the Religious of the Cenacle, Asia Region. She is currently missioned at the Cenacle in Macau, China S.A.R. She is involved in the ministry of retreats/spiritual direction and religious formation. 3. Msgr. Esteban Lo, LRMS, the Executive Secretary of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Mission and National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies, Philippines.
